Description

This Workshop features a new tool – the non-profit initiative, Meridian Stories – that will enable you and your students to create short video and audio stories that communicate curricular substance. Digital literacy – which includes the ability to develop and create meaningful communication digitally – is as important as textural literacy. And it’s a lot more fun, …as well as being creative, collaborative, and designed to enhance critical thinking skills.

Participants will come away from this hands-on Workshop with 1) an understanding of the deep educational value of digital storytelling – value in terms of the delivery of curricular content, common core standards and 21st c skills; 2) clear and practical guidelines for how to integrate this approach in your classrooms; and 3) knowledge about existing curricular challenges and resources that support this approach.
